Terms of service
The rules for your DPPress account, the Pro subscription and the AI service. The free plugin is free software and has its own licence.
Last updated July 20, 2026
Who you are contracting with
The service is published by the person named in the legal notice on this site.
These terms govern dppress.io, your DPPress account, the Pro subscription and the AI service. Using any of them means you accept them.
The free plugin
The DPPress plugin published on wordpress.org is free software, licensed under the GPL version 2 or later. You may use it, study it, modify it and redistribute it under that licence, and nothing here restricts those freedoms.
It runs entirely on your own site and makes no network request unless you click an AI button.
As the GPL states, it comes with no warranty.
Your account
An account is needed for the Pro subscription and for AI credits. Since signing in uses a code sent by email, keeping access to that mailbox is your responsibility.
Give accurate details and keep them current. We may suspend an account used to break these terms.
The Pro subscription
Pro is billed monthly or yearly at the price shown at checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card.
It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page: the subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed.
We may change the price. A change applies from your next renewal, never to a period already paid for, and you are told before it takes effect.
AI credits
One AI credit creates one passport. A Pro subscription includes a monthly allowance, which resets at the start of each month and does not carry over.
Credits bought separately are prepaid: they never expire, and they are only drawn on once the monthly allowance is used up.
Every site gets a small free sample, so the feature can be tried before anything is bought.
Unused prepaid credits can be refunded on request within fourteen days of the purchase.
Licence and site activations
A Pro subscription comes with one licence key, which can be active on a limited number of sites at a time. The limit and the sites currently using it are shown in your dashboard, and you can deactivate a site to free a slot.
Sharing a key beyond that limit, or reselling it, ends the licence.
What DPPress does not promise
DPPress is a preparation tool. It structures your product data along the ESPR requirements known today, and it is updated as the European Commission publishes the delegated acts.
It does not make you compliant with any regulation, and nothing it produces is legal advice. Deciding what your products have to declare, and verifying it, remains yours.
AI suggestions are proposals and can be wrong. You review them before saving, and you are responsible for what you publish.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, provider incidents and force majeure all happen.
This matters less than it sounds. Your passports, their public pages and their QR codes are served by your own site and keep working whether or not our service is up. Only the AI and the Pro unlock depend on us.
Liability
So far as the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have fourteen days to withdraw from the purchase of a digital service. By starting to use it within that period you ask for it to be performed immediately and accept that the right lapses once it has been fully performed.
In practice, unused prepaid credits are refunded on request within those fourteen days.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you like by writing to us, and we may end it if these terms are broken.
When it ends, the Pro features stop and the plugin returns to its free limits. The passports already on your site stay exactly where they are: they are yours, and they never depended on us.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law.
We will try to settle any disagreement directly first. Consumers in the European Union may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a change affecting a subscription applies from its next renewal.
